You’ve probably never heard about us before, and thats completely fine (diamonds are hard to find). Before you look at booking a tutor, you’ll probably be looking for more information about TutorNextDoor. That is totally understandable, and you can find most of the information you need about us down below.

TutorNextDoor is an Essex-based in person tuition company, however, we offer online tuition all around the UK. Our tuition focuses on students who are in years 3-11; this covers 3 main exams they will be facing:

1) The 11+ (an exam taken at the start of year 6 that determines whether your child will attend a grammar school- an academically selective school)

2) Year 7/8/9 End of year exams (exams taken at the end of each year to determine whether your child is progressing suitably to GCSE study)

3) GCSE mocks and GCSEs (both exams are important, if your child is looking to switch to a more selective school GCSE mocks will be very important, GCSEs have a big impact on your childs future, and we will make sure that future is a good one.

We make use of non-traditional tuition. Our tutors are primarily sixth form students or university students who have achieved a minimum of 68 points on their top 8 GCSE grades (thats 99998888 or A*A*A*A*A*A*A*A*), so we are very selective to who we allow to tutor. Having a young teacher allows the student to open up more and therefore learn better. Also, once your child has finished with us and they’ve achieved those GCSE grades at a minimum, there’s a job opportunity waiting for them at the end. We only allow our tutors to teach in subjects they take at A-level or subjects they have achieved a grade 9 in, so you can assure the tuition standard is high. Moreover, a free first lesson is in place to ensure you are happy with the quality of our tuition.
